Justin Crockett Elzie is a self-described Renaissance Man - both a writer and actor in New York City.  He is originally from Wyoming where he grew up on a farm and from there joined the Marine Corps.  He left the Marines after serving fourteen years, four of those openly gay.  He then went to work for Electronic Data Systems and Hewlett Packard working in Corporate Training.  Wanting to focus on his creative pursuits he recently left Hewlett Packard and attended New Actors Workshop in New York City.  He has since finished acting school and has this year finished writing a book. His first book Playing By The Rules, about his experiences as a gay Marine, is now available.   He continues to a write about environmental, political and civil rights issues.  He is a blogger on the Queer NYC blog team and has started working on his next book.
